Pig in the Middle

Every time the pig comes to dance in Grandma and Grandpa’s garden, you never know what will go missing next. The pig might take the toaster, a hat, peppermints or Grandma’s shawl. And whenever she takes something, the dancing pig hides it in the garden maze. But this time that pig has gone too far. The cat has lost her kittens ... and now even Grandpa is missing! Grandma is fed up, but she knows who to call for help. Emily is on her way; she will know what to do.

Emily is determined to solve the mystery. She's going to lead her grandmother into that maze and rescue Grandpa. And she will safely guide them out again, just in time to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. Emily is not going to let any old dancing pig get the better of her!

A lighthearted and wildly imaginative fantasy, Pig in the Middle will tickle young ones who enjoy a little absurdity. But on a more subtle level, this story explores how children can accept and deal with loved ones suffering from memory loss, a condition affecting more North American families every year.
