Freemasonry

This book describes Freemasonry as "one of the world's most famous mysterious societies." That should give you a taste of what you can expect to find between the covers of this book. The book jacket says, "From sacred geometry to legendary Masonic rites ... learn how Masonry's higher degrees, particularly the Scottish Rite, were influenced by occult beliefs and practices, and how Masonry is linked to ... magic practice, alchemy and Qabala." The fact that the author advertises himself as "a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Knights Templar and Eastern Star" should give some idea about his Masonic credentials, bearing in mind that most Masons who go beyond mere lodge membership can claim the same three credentials. A virtual unknown in normal Masonic research circles, the most telling aspect of this author's background is that he claims to be "widely published on the traditions of Western esotericism."
