This book, is a retelling of two of the Homeric Epics; "The Iliad", and "The Odyssey." It has 35 full page illustrations, with blank pages on the reverse of these images, thus there is nothing on page 128 if a image is on page 127. This is a re-telling of the Myths-Histories for children. Of interest to some people may be the Roman name of 'Ulysses ' is used instead of the Greek version 'Odysseus'. The story 'Tales of Ancient Troy' tells of Paris taking Helen to the city of Troy, and her husband and an army come to get her back. It spotlights the fighters Achilles, and Hector, detailing the events of the 10 year war up till Hectors death and funeral, and a quick description of the end of the fighting and fleeing of Aeneas to Italy. The story 'The Adventures of Ulysses' details the journey of Ulysses to his home after the Trojan War. He was one of the kings that fought in the war and was the person who came up with the idea of the 'Trojan Horse' to get into the city and defeat the Trojans. However it takes him another 10 years to return home. Now after being gone from home for 20 years his house is over run with suitors wishing to marry his wife. She believes he is alive while the suitors believe he is dead, they plot to take his land and kill his son. With the help of his son, Ulysses defeats the suitors and reclaims his kingdom.
