An autobiographical account by a German Jew (later professor of German history and political sciences at the Sorbonne) who was arrested for resistance activities in France in 1944 and sent to Dachau. Pp. 208-211 focus on a transport of Jewish children brought to Dachau and held there in quarantine on their way to extermination camps.
