Thirty-four-year-old Annie Rush leaves her husband and children behind and heads to Oaxaca, Mexico, on a quest to find her older brother Hub, who ran away decades earlier after the deaths of their sister and father, and meets a Berkeley professor who helps her come to an understanding of her troubled past.
