The draft Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on Their Destruction (as contained in the appendix to the Report of the Ad Hoc Committee on Chemical Weapons CD/1170) was adopted in Geneva on 3 September 1992 by the Conference on Disarmament and transmitted it to the Forty-Seventh Session of the United Nations General Assembly (Report of the Conference on Disarmament, OFFICIAL RECORDS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY, 47th Session, Supplement no. 27 (A/47/27), paragraphs 73 -74).
