
Islam and the West Post 9/11
In calling this collection of essays 'Islam and the West' we are aware that we use the term 'West' not so much as a geographical location, but as a symbol for a way of life which certain segments of the Muslim populations of the world find threatening or at odds with their understanding of a comprehensive way of life given to them not by human progress or action but rather by an eternal and irrevocable revelation of the divine.
