On 26 September 1789, in the closing days of the first session, Representative Aedanus Burke moved to chastise those who printed the debates for the "misrepresentation and error" in their accounts and threatened to expel them from the House floor, claiming that their privileged location appeared to give them an official sanction they did not deserve.
