<b><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Wings">Mary Wings</a></b> (b. 1949) is a San Francisco-based writer, artist, and musician. She is known for authoring the world's first lesbian underground comic book, <i>Come Out Comix</i>, and for her Emma Victor series of mystery novels. Her Gothic novel <i>Divine Victim</i> earned her the 1993 Lambda Literary Award for Lesbian Mystery. Before becoming a famous author, Wings studied at <a href="http://shimer.edu">Shimer College</a> and later also at the Pacific Northwest College of Art.
