He is Dr. James Morton Callahan, Sr., not to be confused with his son, my father and his Junior, who was published in his own right. He was born in Bedford, IN and died in Morgantown, WV. He married Maud Louise Fulcher, his junior of many years and with a brilliant mind of her own, she contributed articles to Encyclopaedias. I "source" my family genealogy, his oral history and more in the archives of West Virginia and Johns Hopkins Universities, where my grandfather served as Dean of Arts & Sciences (WVU), as well as was Phi Beta Kappa and a Fellow at Johns Hopkins. He was also, for a short time, Director of the National Archives. He couseled several presidential administrations in his day regarding policy.
